Twenty-one year old Jacob Wilson drove the Don Moore Music Publications Stealth Sesco Mopar powered midget to a convincing victory Saturday night, September 10th, at US 24 Speedway in Logansport, Indiana. Wilson, from Crawfordsville, Indiana, began the evening by placing second in his heat race. Starting sixth in the twenty car main event, Jake quickly moved to the front taking the checkered flag a half lap ahead of the field.
“This car was like a rocket tonight” said Wilson in victory lane. Jacob is widely known as a pavement specialist but showed no signs of being a rookin on the dirt. This was a repeat victory for the Don Moore owned midget team.
“I decided at the last minute to go racing this weekend. My primary car was under the weather so I dug out the Stealth Mopar which hadn’t been run in two years. It was literally in pieces but I quickly got it back together and headed for Indiana around noon. The car was just perfect tonight,” Moore said.
Next up for the team will be the USAC midget event at Columbus Motor Speedway, Columbus, Ohio, Saturday, September 17.
